The Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) is committed to expanding equal employment opportunities and eliminating discrimination in the workplaces of federal contractors. As an administrator of federal equal employment opportunity laws and regulations, OFCCP conducts compliance evaluations and complaint investigations that can generate questions and concerns among contractors, subcontractors, and various other stakeholders.
In this breakout session, you will learn about how OFCCP:
- Ensures that protected veterans are not being discriminated against in employment by evaluating hiring and compensation data and reviewing the handling of accommodation requests through its Vietnam Era Veterans’ Readjustment Assistance Act of 1974 (VEVRAA) focused reviews; and
- Operates to ensure that all who are involved with the work of OFCCP have access to a neutral and confidential mechanism, one that operates independently and informally through its Ombuds Service.
