The Emergency Management Center (EMC) manages a comprehensive Test, Training, and Exercise (TT&E) Program on behalf of the Department in accordance with federal emergency management and continuity requirements. TT&E ensures continual development of the Department's emergency management and continuity programs through validation of existing plans, policies, and procedures. The U.S. Department of Labor's (DOL) participation in TT&E events, both at the departmental and interagency-level, provides an opportunity to ensure DOL's ability to continue its mission in support of the American workforce, regardless of circumstance. Regular testing of systems and equipment, training of personnel, and exercising of plans and procedures support this goal.

Areas of improvement identified from TT&E activities are documented, tracked, and resolved through the DOL Corrective Action Program (CAP), which is also managed by the EMC.
