CERTIFICATION OF FEDERAL UNION ELECTION
In Shanker, Chief, Div. of Enforcement, OLMS, USDOL v. Patent Office Professional Association, ARB No. 2023-0001, ALJ No. 2021-SOC-00002 (ARB Aug. 7, 2024), the Department of Labor Office of Labor-Management Standards (OLMS) filed a Certification of Election with the ARB stating that the election for the office of president of the Patent Office Professional Association (POPA) was conducted in accordance with ARB’s September 28, 2023 order, the Labor-Management Reporting and Disclosure Act (LMRDA), and the constitution and bylaws of POPA. OLMS submitted a declaration describing the election process, pre- and post-election challenges, and how OLMS resolved those challenges. After reviewing the Certification of Election and accompanying declaration, ARB declared that Kathleen Duda is the duly elected president of POPA and dismissed the case.
