ILAB-funded technical assistance projects produce a large body of knowledge and resources, including toolkits, project reports, training manuals, and implementation guides. These resources produced by ILAB’s grantees are presented here in a searchable online library so that they may help support and inform current and future projects to end abusive labor practices worldwide.

Empower: Increasing Economic and Social Empowerment for Adolescent Girls and Vulnerable Women in Zambia Market Needs Assessment for Vocational and Technical Skills and Livelihood Opportunities in Eastern Province, Zambia.

The aim of this study is to conduct a district-level and community-level market assessment for goods and services to better understand current market gaps and opportunities for adolescent girls ages 15-17 and vulnerable women in targeted areas of Eastern province in Zambia. It is meant to conduct a Value Chain Analysis (VCA) of selected agricultural and non-agricultural products to identify the opportunities and challenges, identify the knowledge and skills gaps of adolescent girls and young women in business development (demand side) and the capacity of the training and livelihoods service providers in meeting the business development needs of adolescent girls and young women. Further, this study identifies the opportunities that business enterprises in the districts provide for the growth of entrepreneurship for adolescent girls and young women. |

Module 11: A Smart Worker -- Empowerment for children, youth and families: 3R trainers’ kit on rights, responsibilities and representation -- Supporting Life Skills in Myanmar

Training module in the 3-R Trainer's Kit. This module discusses the key responsibilities of workers and and explains their fundamental rights at work. In the first unit, participants are familiarized with workers’ basic responsibilities at work and in the family. The second unit gives an overview of the fundamental principles and rights at work as agreed by ILO member States in 1998. Emphasis is given to the principles: “No to Discrimination” and “Right to Organize”, as these are vital for realizing decent work for all workers in the global economy. The unit concludes with an introduction to decent work for domestic workers. Finally, Unit 3 discusses priority health issues at work: maternity protection, occupational safety and health and fair treatment of workers living with HIV and Aids. |

This document outlines a six step do-it-yourself process for planning, implementing, and evaluating a Comprehensive Occupational Health and Safety (OSH) Program in tea sector focusing on the vulnerability of young workers. A model of the six steps is outlined in PART I, while the detailed program is described in PART II. This document also provides an effective monitoring and evaluation of an OSH program in PART III while other OSH program resources are described in PART IV. These resources include worksheets, progress checklists, and information on how the Rwandese Federation of Tea Cooperatives (FERWACOTHE), Ministry of Labor and Public Services (MIFOTRA) or any other partner can help young workers to manage occupational hazards in their workplaces themselves. |
