The UI Research Exchange is published by the Unemployment Insurance Service to increase the effectiveness of research throughout the UI program. To achieve this goals, the Exchange provides a means of communication among researchers and between researchers and policymakers. The Exchange is designed to be an open forum for all UI researchers. Two contributed papers are included in this issue. The first paper, contributed by Bruman Skrable of the UI Quality Control Division, briefly explains the history, aims, procedures as well as the Department?s plans for the Quality Control program for Unemployment Insurance. The second paper, contributed the Research and Analysis Section of the Arkansas Employment Security Division, traces benefit charges, by type of charge, for Fiscal Years 1983-86.
