Operational Guidance for National Dislocated Worker Grants, pursuant to the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA or Opportunity Act)
PurposeTo provide guidance to the workforce investment system on the policies and priorities that govern the award and use of the Secretary's discretionary National Dislocated Worker Grants (DWG), under the WIOA, Title I, Section 170, which becomes effective July 1, 2015. The new program is preceded by National Emergency Grants (NEG) under Title I of the Workforce Investment Act of 1998 (WIA), and National Reserve Account grants under the Job Training Partnership Act Title III.
