WASHINGTON, October 3 — Secretary of Labor Elaine L. Chao
mapped out the course for future labor policy to ensure America's competitiveness in the global economy in a speech to stakeholders in our nation's labor system at the Labor Policy at a Crossroads event held at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
Notably, the Secretary warned against the Europeanization of the American workforce system saying, "[The] Europeanization of the American workforce would have dire consequences for our country's ability to compete abroad and would disrupt the traditional labor relationships here at home."
